Kurti's surface Some of the excess thread may pop out & you will be able to see the extra threads with knots below the kurti as this is a usual condition for handcrafted Chikankari Kurti - these are not damage but a normal handwork condition.

What is chikankari - chikan work ?

Chikan i is the traditional embroidery style from Lucknow, India. The word Chikankari literally means 'Embroidery' and it is one of Lucknow's best known textile decoration styles. 

Chikankari work is a delicate & artfully done hand embroidery. It is an intricate and elegant art of embroidery pursued with a needle on a fabric. The needlework requires time and patience

Washing care :

• We recommend to hand wash in cold water or dry clean only - machine wash not recommended
• Do not soak and scrub the product 
• Reverse dry it in shade.
• Do not iron on embellishments.
• If it is a naturally dyed, It might bleed during the first few washes
